2. Colorful tissue paper 20×30 in
3. Dot stickers 0.75 in
4. Yellow crinkled shredded paper (or color of your choice)
5. PVA glue
6. Scissors (optional for cutting dot stickers)

How to Make DIY Easter Cards for Kids

As I mentioned before, these DIY Easter cards for kids are easy and fun to make, even for cardmaking beginners, and offer plenty of space for creative expression.

If you’re creating these Easter cards with your kids, it’ll take you 20-30 minutes to make a couple in different colors.

I recommend experimenting with different color combinations of the eggs and dots.

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

Easy Step-by-step Tutorial

I made 2 slightly different easy Easter cards with egg shapes.

One is with yellow shredded paper to add a bit of dimension and a fun personal touch.

The other one is just an Easter egg with dots attached to the blank greeting card.

In this case, I tried to make the egg shape larger so that it covered almost the entire surface of the greeting card.

It’s up to you which version you choose; both are a great way to send an Easter message.

1. Take one sheet of tissue paper in your favourite color and fold it 4 times.
2. Start folding the tissue paper from the top, folding it underneath, and going around. Try to think about the egg shape. It doesn’t have to be perfect!
3. Apply PVA glue to the back of your Easter egg and attach it to the blank greeting card. If you’re adding shredded paper, leave a little bit of space at the bottom of the egg.
4. Press and hold it for 1-2 minutes to make sure it is attached to the card.
5. Next, take a sheet of dots and start sticking them to the egg. This is the fun part, your kids’ll love! Let them choose colors for their eggs. If you think a dot would look nice on the edge of the egg, simply cut it in half and add it to the composition.
6. Additionally, add PVA glue to the bottom of the egg and a little bit outside of it, and add a small amount of shredded paper. Press and hold for 30 seconds.
7. Your card is now ready for an Easter message.

Here’s the second handmade card with a simple shape.

As you can see, the Easter egg occupy almost all odf the greeting card.

For this one, I was cutting stickers to have a nice, even composition of dots.
