DIY Mother’s Day Card With Tulip Easy Tutorial
To make things easier, I divide this tutorial into 3 easy steps.
Firstly, we will focus on creating 3 parts to make petals.
Next, we will be folding the stem and leaves.
At the end, we will put everything together and stick the folded pieces of cupcake liners to the greeting card.
1. Make 3 Petals For The Flower
Prepare 3 cupcake liners in a chosen color.
To make the middle part of a tulip:
- Flatten your cupcake liner
- Fold it in half
- Apply glue on one half and fold
- Apply glue again on half and fold again

Next, to make the left and right petals of a tulip, you need to:
- Similar to the middle part, flatten this time 2 cupcake liners
- Fold each one in half
- Fold them again so you have 2 triangles
- Fold a little part of the liner, as you can see in pictures 5 and 6.
- Apply a small amount of glue and stick it together.

Make a Tulip’s Stem and 2 Leaves
Prepare 3 green cupcake liners.
To make a stem, you will need to:
- Flatter your cupcake liner
- Fold it in half
- Then, fold the round part toward the middle
- Repeat 3 times
- Before folding 3rd time, apply glue to stick it together

For the leaves, we need 2, but one is round on the left and the other on the right.
To make the first tulip, you will need to:
- Flatten a green cupcake
- Fold it in half
- Fold a small part that is thinner on the left and go down to the right
- Fold the round bit toward the middle
- Fold the sticking-out bit again
- At the end, fold the small part, so the leaf is more round

If you look at the last picture, you can easily compare this part to a green bean.
To make another leaf, we will need to follow the same steps but mirror the folding part.
Take a look at the picture below, for reference.

You should have 6 parts altogether.

3. Assemble the Tulip Onto a Greeting Card
Now, a fun part, putting everything together into a beautiful tulip.
Start with a steam, apply glue on the back part of the steam, and stick it to the greeting card in the middle. You can leave a little bit of the paper sticking out. We will cut it later.

Next, apply glue to a triangle-shaped petal and glue it to the card at the end of a stem.

Now, stick to the greeting card 2 leftover petals. I start with a left one, followed by a right one.

We have 2 leaves to stick now. Again, apply glue to the bottom parts and stick them to the greeting card. One leaf should be on the left side of a flower, and one should be on the right side of the flower. You can leave a little bit of the leaves sticking out of the card.

Finally, we cut off the excess stem and leaves, and your card is now ready.

There are a lot of Mother’s Day card ideas out there.
