This post shows you DIY Halloween Crafts ideas to make small tissue paper art.

I hope you’ve landed on this page because you want to make amazing Halloween DIY crafts this year!
Welcome to the club! 🙂
These tissue paper art pieces are very versatile and simple to make.
You can use them as indoor Halloween decorations, add to a spooky gift basket, or frame them using small, 7×7-inch deep frames.
While using a different-sized square frame you might have at home, remember to cut the square piece of paper to the correct size to fit the frame.
Halloween DIY crafts don’t have to be complicated. Try to make these tissue paper art pieces with your kids as well.
They might need your help with small elements, but I think it’s great fun for Halloween craft play time.

Halloween Tissue Paper Art To Copy
I’ve made 4 Halloween-themed paper artworks for this project.
Usually, I research some pictures, cartoons, or JPG files for inspiration and reference.
This time, I found images on Canva that I used for this purpose.
I’m not going to go into a deep tutorial on how to make these tissue paper Halloween art pieces.
However, if you would like to see step-by-step tutorials, let me know in the comments.
Every artwork is on a 6×6-inch piece of colored paper. Pre-cut them in advance.
1. Pumpkin

Pumpkin is such a staple piece for Halloween. When you think about Halloween, this is the first thing that comes to mind.
To make this pumpkin tissue paper art, you need to make 3 orange parts for the pumpkin and 1 brown part for the stem.
What I do is I look at the reference picture and think about the shapes I/m creating.
In this case, I can see that the middle part is an oval shape, and then the 2 side bits are round on the outside and slightly hidden behind the middle one.
For the brown bit, I also try to make a similar shape to the pumpkin’s stem and attach it from the back to the middle part of the pumpkin.
Glue everything together and stick it to the piece of paper.
2. Ghost

The ghost tissue paper art is not complicated at all.
However, if you’re making it with kids, they might need your help creating small black elements.
Start with the white main body piece and shape it into a soft triangle with corners hidden behind.
Then, try to shape lines by shaping the middle part slightly.
Be careful with tissue paper, because it can easily break.
Glue the main part to the black paper.
At the end, shape 3 small ovals and stick them on top of the white part.
3. Halloween Eye

This might be my favorite design.
For the Halloween Eye, we need a medium white round part and a small green part.
Again, take a piece of tissue paper and try to shape it.
As you can see in the picture, it doesn’t have to be a perfect round shape, just a fun-looking eye.
Before sticking everything together, use a black marker for the outside edge on both shapes and the middle part of a green one.
Add red lines to the white to add depth and a white dot on the green one (you can stick a small white piece of tissue paper instead).
Now, glue the green part on top of the white one and stick both of them on an orange paper square.
4. Witch’s Hat

Last but not least, the Witch’s Hat.
It contains only one tissue paper element, the purple mail part.
Fold tissue paper into a soft triangle, and use your markers to draw a black belt and a gold buckle.
In my case, I used a golden pen instead of a marker. It worked better.
The hardest part is to shape the tissue paper triangle into a squished witch’s hat, but I know you can do it!
Attach the hat to the green paper using PVA glue.

Conclusion
I hope you give it a go and make your fun tissue paper art this Halloween.
Try different shapes. Maybe you have a favorite spooky symbol you would like to transform into a paper artwork.
