Start by creating a circle shape of brown tissue paper by folding it on the edges.

Using a wooden stick or a small brush, apply glue to the center of the folded tissue paper and attach it to the greeting card.

Remember to apply glue a minimum of 0.5 cm from the edges. Otherwise, it might leak outside of the fold.

Helpful Tips For Tissue Paper Christmas Pudding Card

  • Cut your tissue paper in advance. I always find it easier to prepare small squares or torn pieces of tissue paper before starting. It keeps the process smooth and avoids mess, especially if you’re crafting with kids or in a group.
  • Use PVA glue that dries clear. Trust me, a clear-drying glue is your best friend in this situation. PVA works great and gives you time to adjust pieces before it sets. Avoid glue sticks for this one, because they don’t always hold tissue paper well.
  • Don’t worry about perfect folds. Tissue paper is soft and really forgiving. If it crinkles or folds a bit, that adds texture! You may need a little practice shaping it to your liking, but that’s part of the fun. Let it be a bit imperfect — that’s what makes handmade cards so charming.
  • Keep the template nearby. Having the Christmas pudding card template printed out helps guide your layout. It’s great for kids or anyone who prefers a bit of structure while crafting.
  • Let kids add their own flair. One of the best aspects of this card is its ease of customization. More raisins? Go for it. Big, bold berries or three holly leaves instead of two? Absolutely. Let them make it their own DIY Christmas pudding card. It turns a simple craft into something extra special.
